Gust Van den Berghe,
geboren te Borgerhout op 25 April 1985 komt uit een artistiek gezin. Zijn moeder schrijft jeugdboeken en zowel broers als zussen zijn op allerlei manieren met kunst bezig. Via zijn grote liefde voor muziek ontdekte hij dans, en groeide snel uit tot breakdancer. Hij danste in theaterstukken van o.a. Praga Khan, het Koninklijk ballet van Vlaanderen, Robert Groslot en Marc Bogaerts. Na zijn humaniora studeerde hij audiovisuele kunsten op het RITS in Brussel. Hij deed vijf jaar over deze opleiding en studeerde met een langspeel film af; Op dit ogenblik doet hij een postgraduaat Transmedia op de St lukas hogeschool in Brussel.
Tomas Leyers,
[°1970] co-founded together with Caroline Strubbe the independent production company Minds Meet, that specializes in the creation of artistic European cinema. He initiated the EAVE workshops in 2006 and was a Producer on the Move in Cannes ’07. In 2008 he prodcued Caroline’s first feature ‘Lost Persons Area’ (International Critics Weeks, Cannes ’09) and the shortfilm ‘Kaïn’ (Berlinale ’09) by Kristof Hoornaert. Meanwhile he co-produced ‘The Day God Walked Away’ by Philippe Van Leeuw (Toronto ’09, San Sebastian ’09) and ‘La Cantante de Tango’ by Diego Martinez Vignatti (Locarno ’09). Last year he picked up ‘Little Baby Jesus of Flandr’ by Gust Van den Berghe (Director’s Fortnight, Cannes ‘10). Nowadays he is developing several new feature films and documentaries by established and young, new talent, always in the spirit to make creative minds meet.
