Gust Van den Berghe,
born in 1985, comes from an artistic family. He quicky became a breakdancer. He danced in theater pieces including for Praga Khan, the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Robert Groslot and Marc Bogaerts. He studied audiovisual arts at the RITS in Brussels. He did five years on this course and graduated with a feature film as final results.
Tomas Leyers,
[°1970] co-founded together with Caroline Strubbe the independent production company Minds Meet, that specializes in the creation of artistic European cinema. He initiated the EAVE workshops in 2006 and was a Producer on the Move in Cannes ’07. In 2008 he prodcued Caroline’s first feature ‘Lost Persons Area’ (International Critics Weeks, Cannes ’09) and the shortfilm ‘Kaïn’ (Berlinale ’09) by Kristof Hoornaert. Meanwhile he co-produced ‘The Day God Walked Away’ by Philippe Van Leeuw (Toronto ’09, San Sebastian ’09) and ‘La Cantante de Tango’ by Diego Martinez Vignatti (Locarno ’09). Last year he picked up ‘Little Baby Jesus of Flandr’ by Gust Van den Berghe (Director’s Fortnight, Cannes ‘10). Nowadays he is developing several new feature films and documentaries by established and young, new talent, always in the spirit to make creative minds meet.
